What followed was a series of seasons that, looking back, were building toward something neither of them fully saw coming at the time.

They took over the Orlando chapter of 1 Million Cups and ran it for three years, growing it to nearly 100 people per week. Hundreds of entrepreneurs and businesses came through the process and went on to scale, raise capital, and exit successfully. But what RC and Julianna kept observing was that once a week was not enough. The conversations were valuable. The energy was real. But people needed a place where they could actually meet, work, plan, and make money together — not just show up and listen.

That observation birthed The Lab Orlando, a community resource center in downtown Orlando where leaders, advocates, and entrepreneurs had a home base to operate from. They signed the lease the week before COVID shut everything down. They opened anyway. And they operated through it.

Inside The Lab Orlando, they saw firsthand what happens when people have a place to belong, a framework to work from, and a real community around them. They also began working alongside pastor training groups during this season, which opened their eyes to what the Church was carrying — and what it was desperately missing.

The writing came next. Together they launched two publications that became the voice of what they were learning. Ripped From The Headlines breaks down what the news actually means beneath the surface. We Are The Watchmen Weekly connects the dots between current events and scripture, giving readers a framework for understanding the moment they are living in through a biblical lens.

Their reach extended beyond the written word as well. The Watchmen Brief was launched as the flagship broadcast voice of Watchmen Action, bringing the same intelligence-driven perspective that drives Sherloc and the publications into a format that could reach a broader audience. The Culture Crossroads followed as a television program that puts the defining cultural conversations of the moment in front of viewers who are hungry for honest, faith-informed analysis — reaching more than 100,000 homes every month. And anchoring it all is the Watchmen Action Network, a 24/7 broadcast platform that has launched on Cue Broadcast and will be distributed on Roku, Pluto TV, Tubi TV, and other smart TV platforms, giving the movement a permanent, always-on media presence in living rooms across the country.

By the time Watchmen Action took its current form, RC and Julianna had not just built an organization. They had built a media ecosystem around it.

Every season produced a piece. Sherloc gave them the intelligence framework. 1 Million Cups gave them the community building model. The Lab Orlando gave them the proof of concept. The publications gave them the platform. The online media amplified their voice.

When they finally saw how all the pieces fit together, Watchmen Action was the only logical next step. They did not build it because it was a good idea. They built it because they had lived every season that made it inevitable.
